A seemingly more homely style of japanese food.
Mainly simple dishes, but done v. well (esp for the price). For example, the miso soup tastes great, but also has vegies and meats in it, so it is a much heartier version of the flavoured water at most other japanese restaurants.
Particularly good for a warming lunch or early dinner.
May not be the number 1 japanese restaurant in melbourne, but i would highly recommend it to any japanese-cuisine conniseurs as a great alternative to the standard style of other restaurants.
As an aside, it is one of the best restaurants for value-for-money i've come across in the inner city of late.
