I wanted to say that Montrachet is a good restaurant but sadly its not. If you enjoy eating snails - don't bother at Montrachet they are awful. The remainder of the meals were non-descript and the place certinly doesn't deserve the kudos it receives in the free press. You are better off going next door to Grappinos, at least the food is good!

The owner's tendency to abuse customers. Eating out is not just about food but also about hospitality.

Tough on the hip pocket - but every bite is worth every penny. Service is exceptional. Very French but streamlined. Swinging doors give you a great insight into the kitchen - even though you can hear them anyway!

Food is divine - never faulted on any visit.If you're game - order the snails. Obviously the duck is sublime. Wine list is long and wonderful. Only shortfall is the size of the restaurant. Can be booked out for weeks in advance - but worth planning your diary around.
