Delicious. Ridiculously tasty food, that can be rich and spicy or light and fruity.

A lovely atmosphere, just dark enough and just noisy enough.

Since it is tapas-inspired you can have a large meal or just a snack - going there simply for dessert would also be perfect.

The fried chorizos in a sweet/hot/salty sauce, thick and custardy citrus creme brulee, and fudgy churros doughnuts with rich chocolate sauce are worth many return visits all by themselves.

Looking high end but feeling local, Lulo's menu of "the best Spanish and Latinamexican flavours" offers endless combinations of tapas and larger dishes. All perfect for sharing.

Try the Catalan Braised Oxtail - two finger-length cigars of oxtail ragu encased in a chewy, parmesan and manchego cheese crust. Or Sardine Fillets a-la-Plancha - four flavoursome, moist sardines fried and presented on a scribble of creamy white mayonnaise.

The Yucca (Spanish potato) dish is so delicious it's worth the calories. Six crisp and lightly salted golden golf balls of pureed yucca, stuffed with mozzarella-style cheese. Eat them with the succulent Double-Cooked Duck with Moorish Spices - a perfect autumn dish to accompany any Spanish wine from Lulo's skilfully assembled list.

Skip the Yellowtail King Fish Ceviche. The feisty chilli oil and over-salted bread crisps kill the subtle flavour of the fish. And the Baby Brussel Sprouts Sautéed with Chirizo look great but are strangely dry. Try the Fig Salad, Lamb Cutlet or Calamari instead.

To finish - one word. Churros. Hot, chewy tubes of batter, fried and coated in cinnamon sugar to dip in the warm chocolate sauce. Heaven.

For my first spanish experience, let me say that lulo has definetly made a good impression. The food is simply devine and the wine to accompany the dishes, just fantastic.

The dished I would recommend are, the Zucchiflowers filled with soft riccotta cheese, they were just so light and delightful.

The quail filled with quava paste was delicious, served with a side of pomegranite & pressed quail jus

complimented it quit well.

Oven baked scallops served with cauliflower & mojo (a spicy sauce) were just superb...i just had to have more!

There was such a wide varietly of wine, mainly from spain and other regions for southern america. I tried a sensational wine from spain, rioja. It was a Tempranillo, a nice rich tasting red which is well balanced and not too heavy with a beautiful oaky flavour and nice dry finish.

The environment at lulo is great with dimmed down lights at the bar and dozens on tealight candles which really do set the mood, also with the great range of modern latin american music playing in the background. The staff were very helpful and were more than happy to explain the menu, describe particular dishes and I said spannish food is a new thing to me. All up lulo was a great learning experience, for anyone who likes to experiment and try different things I would recommend you try this place out.
