Simply one of the coast's best restaurants! The menu is varied and affordable with daily specials and discounts if you get an entree, main and dessert (youve got to try the crepe!). Though affordable, give the lunch menu a miss and have the french food every time. Relaxed vibe during the day with outdoor area overlooking the lake and romantic at nights. They do private functions as well in their second function area which always seems full. Fantastic, generous, non pretentious, affordable french food and service with a smile!

The garlic clove is a lovely restaurant at any time for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The ambience is gorgeous and the views are breathtaking! Nothing like it on the coast, my husband and I love the duck and salmon!!! Great for functions too, had my 40th in the function room in march and the coordinator and staff are lovely all my guests were very happy and raved about the food!

In response to the previous comments I think they were a bit unfair - firstly they have the private room for meetings etc, and one should expect such things when living above a restaurant, and i know they try their best and close off outdoor areas at a reasonable hour.

I have been there a couple of times to meet with clients as its close to my business, however, the meals are quite bland and expensive for what you get. It is also quite noisy and difficult to hold conversations. Most staff are friendly, except for one lady who does not know how to smile. It is not recommended by myself and I warn my clients prior that is can be very noisy.

I am a resident living in Emerald Lakes, extremely close to the Garlic Clove. As a resident, the loud noises keep me awake 'till very late almost every night. The security are supposed to "after a certain time" keep the patrons from disturbing the residence (as they gather outside the restaurant in their groups having loud discussions). This is never done and I am possibly the most sleep deprived woman in Carrara.

Anyways, the food: Crap. I have had meetings/lunch there a few times and do not see what all the fuss is about. I know they have "sepcials" and their food is relatively cheap ie. 3 Course meal for less than $50.00 is great value. But in terms of quality food, look elsewhere. The restaurant is small and very loud.

Please be considerate of the residence who lay wide awake at night listening to all your drunken rants holding from throwing some icy cold water from their balcony and ruining your lovely neat hairstyles.

It's $49.90 for a 3 course meal. The staff are friendly and professional. The atmoshpere is great, however it can get quite busy. A nice walk by the lake afterwards is a great end to the night.
