We've been to a lot of restaurants in Brisbane, but always find Baguette consistently pleasant. The sauteed octopus is lovely, and would highly recommend the creme brulee. The spanner crab fettuccini lacks flavour a little. My dinner guest enjoyed the salmon, and quite a generous portion compared to some restaurants. Good wine selection. A nice place to dine, a great place for cocktails too.

We tried this restaurant for our anniversary dinner because it is reputable and established one. But it was a big mistake. The food we ordered was terrible. (The fish pie was as if eating salt. The fish of the day came with huge amount of overcooked, discolored vegetables that you might find in the deli section of Cole's.) The service and atmosphere cannot compensate the horrible food. The kitchen staff at Baguette are not professional. (if they are, they cannot serve such terrible food without shame.)
