With every special day that I have the honour of photographing, I get the chance to not only get to know, but tell the story of two people who came into each other’s lives for a reason. Taylah and Sinclair first locked eyes at work, and it was love from then on. When you love someone, everything about the world is a little brighter, and the joy that Taylah and Sinclair share was apparent in every snap. The open, natural setting and soft light supplied by their venue, Pennyroyal Otways Retreat, only amplified the beauty of their special day.

While wedding festivities certainly revolve around those saying “I do,” the special events ultimately join two social circles and families together. That’s why I especially love capturing the moments the bride and groom exchange with their friends, parents and grandparents, just as much as the moments the bride and groom have together. The couple completely DIY'd the wedding with the help of their families, spending two days before the wedding to set up the marquee, lighting, tables and even the haystack seats they sourced from their friend’s farm. The day’s festivities were especially sweet as they got to enjoy the fruits of their work.

All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better day, and we couldn’t resist inviting the gorgeous alpacas to join in a few pictures.
